On October 26, 2025 at 4:00 p.m., the picture book cinema follows with the dog lady Lotte in the citizens' hall. The event not only promises entertaining stories, but also the performance of a puppet theater. As the Donau-Wald-Kultur , Lotte has no desire to clean up her playroom. Instead, she uses the time to listen to stories that are told by the picture booker Andrea von Lieven. The children can look forward to funny moments and the limitless scope of their imagination, reinforced by the participation of Tania Schnagl.
This magical reading is offered as part of the “scope” district culture series and is a joint initiative of the Wörth and KiW city library. Admission is free, but donations for the continuation of such projects are always welcome.
What makes the picture book cinema so special?
The concept of the picture book cinema has established itself in recent years and has inspired more and more small listeners. This special reading reform, in which pictures are projected onto the wall, ensures that reading aloud becomes an appealing experience. According to Baumhaus gang , the combination of cinema and book combines the imagination of the children with exciting stories. The large -scale projections enable the children to better perceive details and actively participate in the action by asking questions or describing what they see.
This not only expands the vocabulary, but also promotes communication skills, which makes the picture book cinema a valuable asset for many educational institutions. In kindergartens, schools and libraries, the visual support was often missing when reading aloud - the picture book cinema starts here to offer the little ones an all -round exciting reading experience.
With these events,Wörth a.d.Donau presents a great offer that helps to strengthen children's reading and language support and at the same time ensure relaxed family moments. A visit is not only an enrichment for the imagination, but also a wonderful opportunity to spend time together!
