Großharthau rejoices: quarter of a million euros for important projects!

Investing in the future: The municipality of Großharthau has successfully submitted four funding applications to the LEADER West Lusatia region. This was recently announced. Particularly noteworthy are the projects that will not only contribute to improving the infrastructure, but also to increasing the quality of life of citizens. Mayor Jens Krauße expressed his enthusiasm about the approved funds and thanked the building authority for their dedicated processing of the applications.

The approved projects include:

• Sanierung des Flachdachs des Grundschul-Speiseraums – Gesamtkosten: 150.000 €, Förderbetrag: 100.000 €
• Erneuerung des Dachs der Aussegnungshalle in Großharthau – Kosten: 50.000 €, Förderung: 35.000 €
• Gestaltung des Hartplatzes in Seeligstadt zum Multifunktionsplatz – Antragsteller: Sportverein Seeligstadt, Kosten: 11.500 €, Förderung: ca. 8.000 €
• Sanierung des Vereinsraums im Erbgericht – Antragsteller: Feuerwehr Förderverein, Kosten: 20.000 €, Förderung: ca. 14.000 €

LEADER Budget 2025: Opportunities for the region

On April 7th, 2025 the starting signal was given for the first call for the LEADER budget 2025 in West Lusatia, where a total of 1.42 million euros in funding is available. The application deadline for projects is May 19, 2025, and if you want to start a good project now, you should hurry up!

Private individuals, associations, companies and municipalities are eligible to apply. A wide range of areas are supported, such as private living, business, tourism projects, medical care, art and cultural assets, as well as environmentally friendly approaches. What is particularly noteworthy is that an additional €100,000 will be made available for projects in aquaculture and fishing. The LEADER approach in focus

The LEADER approach, which stands for “Liaison Entre Actions pour le Développement de l’Économie Rurale”, will be continued in the 2021-2027 funding period. The aim is to promote various actions and initiatives at sub-regional level. This integrated approach mobilizes the local population and utilizes local needs and potential. The focus is not only on rural, but also on urban and coastal regions that can benefit from a variety of concept-based projects.
