Großharthau cheers: Quarter million euros for important projects!

in the future: The municipality of Großharthau successfully brought four funding applications to the Leader region of Westlausitz. This was announced recently. Above all, the projects that will contribute to improving the infrastructure, but also to increase the quality of life of the citizens, should be emphasized. Mayor Jens Krauße was enthusiastic about the approved means and thanked the building authority for the committed processing of the applications.

The approved projects include:

• renovation of the flat roof of the elementary school dining room total costs: € 150,000, funding amount: € 100,000
• renewal of the roof of the sanctuary in Großharthau - costs: € 50,000, funding: € 35,000
• Design of the hard court in Seeligstadt to the multifunctional place - applicant: Sportverein Seeligstadt, costs: 11,500 €, funding: approx. 8,000 €
• renovation of the club room in the hereditary court - applicant: Fire Brigade Förderverein, costs: € 20,000, funding: approx. € 14,000

Leader budget 2025: Opportunities for the region

On April 7th, 2025, the starting signal for the 1st call of the Leader Budget 2025 in Westlausitz was available, where a total of 1.42 million euros in funding is available. The application deadline for projects runs until May 19, 2025, and if you want to start a good project, you should hurry!

Private individuals, associations, companies and municipalities are eligible to apply. A variety of areas such as private living, business, tourist projects, medical care, art and cultural assets, as well as environmentally friendly approaches are funded. It should be emphasized that an additional € 100,000 for projects in aquaculture and fishing are provided. If you plan to try your luck, you should use advice from regional management. The leader approach in focus

The LEADER approach, which stands for "Liaison Entry Actions Pour Le Développement de l’économie rural", will continue in the funding period 2021-2027. The aim is to promote various actions and initiatives at a subregional level. This integrated approach mobilizes the local population and uses locally existing needs and potential. The focus is not only on rural, but also urban and coastal regions, which can benefit from a wide range of concept -based projects.
