From10 a.m. to 2 p.mThe fair opens its doors to students from grade 7 of high schools and from grade 9 of high schools and their parents. The event is a showcase for the training opportunities in the region and offers an excellent opportunity to make contacts and explore career prospects.
The Annaberg-Buchholz city administration cannot miss the opportunity to be represented at this event. Here, those interested have the opportunity to find out about the various training occupations - especially about the administrative assistants (VFA), their training per year2026begins. Prospective state-recognized educators can also find out about the company internships on offer. Other training occupations include road guard and IT specialist for system integration. Apprenticeships in these professions are available every three years.
Event framework and goals
The MAKERZ trade fair, formerly known as the Erzgebirge Training Fair, is part of an apprentice fair in the Erzgebirge and offers a platform for 108 companies and institutions at a total of four locations. The trade fair takes place not only in Annaberg-Buchholz, but also in Aue-Bad Schlema, Marienberg and Stollberg.
At the MAKERZ trade fair, the focus is on the dual approach: HR managers and trainees answer questions about entry opportunities and career opportunities in various industries, ranging from manufacturing to the hotel industry. The exchange with company representatives is an ideal opportunity for students to prepare for their professional future.
Training offers from the city administration
The Annaberg-Buchholz city administration, since1997a recognized training company, is responsible for various areas of responsibility, including the registration authority, the registry office and the operation of schools, after-school care centers and daycare centers. Particular attention is paid to apprenticeships, with VFA being particularly highlighted.
Good chances of being taken on are another promise for the young talents after they have successfully completed their training. The event is also a perfect opportunity for parents to find out about their children's educational paths.
