Regional budget 2026: Funding for small projects of up to 7,500 euros!

Today, November 5th, 2025, it's that time again: The ILE Upper Bavarian Forest The call for tenders for the coveted “regional budget” is starting for the sixth time. A total of around 75,000 euros is available here, which can be used for small but important projects in the region. Applications are welcome until January 16, 2026, and not only clubs and municipalities, but also companies and private individuals are invited to submit their ideas.

Anyone who thinks this isn't for them is wrong! The funding rate can be up to 80% of the total costs - this means that each application can receive up to 7,500 euros in funding as long as the project costs do not exceed 20,000 euros. These are ideal conditions for civic engagement, infrastructure measures and projects to improve living conditions in our community. In addition, the submitted projects must be inIntegrated Rural Development Concept (ILEK)be anchored.

Important details and support

The implementation must be completed and billed by the end of September 2026, so interested parties should act quickly. The selection criteria for the projects are clearly defined: sustainability, regional importance and positive effects on the environment, climate protection and demographic change play a decisive role. However, small projects requiring funding of less than 500 euros cannot be taken into account. But good news: A combination with other funding programs is permitted as long as this is not ruled out.

If you need help with your applications, you can contact Lisa Betz (09482/9403-71, 09482/9403-71) at any time. lisa.betz@ile-vbw.de ) and Martina Kulzer (09482/9403-75, martina.kulzer@ile-vbw.de ) turn around. The relevant application forms and an information sheet are also available on the Bavarian State Ministry website.

A step into the future

The Regional budget tender brochure provides additional information and insights into the opportunities these grants offer. In the past five years, around 420,000 euros have already been invested in the region. In 2025 alone, 17 projects were funded - this shows how important this budget is for the development and coexistence in our community.

But these projects are not only important at the regional level. The Federal program for rural development (BULEplus) aims to turn rural regions into dynamic laboratories of the future. It promotes sustainable model projects and enables competitions and the exchange of knowledge about innovative approaches. The aim is to strengthen rural areas as lively and future-oriented regions.

With the regional budget of the ILE Vorderer Bavarian Forest we have the chance to be part of this development. Let’s tackle it and actively shape our region!
