On June 29, 2025, everything was on its feet in Seeligstadt because the volunteer fire department had invited people to the open day. On this celebratory occasion, Mayor Jens Krauße presented a very special gift: a new personnel carrier (MTW), which will now support the emergency services. A new vehicle brings a breath of fresh air to the fire department's service reports. The old car was officially taken out of service and now had to make way for its successor. Mayor Jens Krauße not only paid respect to the new equipment, but also emphasized the pride that the community has in its fire department. “We know that safety in our region depends on the readiness of the fire department,” said Krauße.
Joint efforts
A celebratory event like this would not have been possible without the collaboration of many committed people. The new vehicle was also supported by funding from the Free State of Saxony, which represents a significant relief for the community of Großharthau. The financial resources were provided by the local council, which shows how important the support of local politics is for the emergency services.
