Survey to the Rödlertal campaign room: Your ideas for the future!

Survey to the Rödlertal campaign room: Your ideas for the future!
On June 18, 2025, the time has finally come: The citizens of the municipalities of Arnsdorf, Ottendorf-Okrilla, Wachau and the city of Radeberg are called up to actively participate in the survey on the “Rödlertal Action Area”. The aim of the survey is to support the future development of this region and to lay a solid basis for the cooperation between the four municipalities. A development concept is developed that not only includes an inventory, but also clear goals and measures to improve the living conditions of the population. As reports Radeberg, those responsible attach great importance to the exchange of sustainable and innovative solutions as well as proven practices.
The survey is an essential platform for the exchange between the administrations, politics, business and local actors. The opinions and ideas of the citizens are more in demand than ever, because this is the only way to develop joint projects that bring actual improvements. "The input of the population is essential to define realistic and needs -oriented measures," explains Ms. Fasold from StEG Stadtwicklung GmbH.
participation options and deadlines
The survey remains open until June 30, 2025 and can be conveniently online or by filling out a PDF document. If you have any questions about the survey, interested Ms. Fasold can contact you on 0351 25518-21 or by e-mail to freitung@steg.de. Feedback options for the survey exist both by email and postally to the respective municipalities.
Not only in the Rödlertal something. Also on a broader level there is a growing commitment of the German municipalities in development policy, both nationally and internationally. As reported on [Idos Research] (https://www.idos-research.de/analysen-und-stalchaffe/article/kommunale- Development Policy-in-deutschland-stand-persporten/), the municipal development policy (KEPOL) has now been on the rise. However, smaller municipalities in particular face challenges. They often focus on low -threshold projects, while larger cities are more active in the field of development cooperation.
"Development policy begins at your own doorstep", one could say. Projects such as in the Rödlertal campaign area set the course for the future. And cooperation with municipalities in the global south also plays a central role. The municipal contribution to transnational sustainability policy is growing, even if visible success is often still pending. Support for the municipalities is therefore of great importance to exploit the full potential of these activities.
