Radibor is planning a new residential area: local council meeting on August 13th!
A lot is happening in Radibor! The municipality has drawn up an ambitious plan to meet the housing needs. A new residential area is to be built on Alte Bautzener Straße, where up to 22 building plots are planned. According to Mayor Madeleine Rentsch (independent), this step was decided after a detailed discussion with Radiborer Agrar GmbH. In doing so, the community is building on previous, failed attempts to develop a new residential area and showing that it is now showing good hands. The development plan has already been drawn up by the Bautzen architectural firm Panse and submitted to the district office for approval. In order for all of these projects to develop optimally, proper land-use planning is essential.
As is well known, land-use planning is very important in Germany. Over 70% of municipal planning is subject to legal regulations that ensure that development is consistent with ecological, economic and social objectives. Municipal planning is guided by the Building Code (BauGB) and the Building Use Ordinance (BauNVO), which provides a clear structure for urban development. This legal basis not only helps to avoid conflicts, but also promotes sustainable urban development, which noticeably advances Radibor. The creation of living space, especially in the social sector, plays a central role here.
Public council meeting
In order to advance progress in land-use planning and other issues, the municipality of Radibor invites you to a public municipal council meeting on August 13, 2025. This will take place from 6.30 p.m. in the meeting room of the municipal office on Alois-Andritzki-Str. 2 instead. The agenda includes, among other things, the welcome from the mayor, the determination of the quorum and information on the current situation from the municipal administration. A particularly important topic will be the gradual renovation of the apartment building in Milkel, on which a fundamental resolution will be voted on.
Furthermore, the exchange of land from parts of parcels 123/1 and 124 is on the agenda. It is therefore a broad program that offers opportunities for all citizens of Radibor to voice their concerns. The mayor, M. Rentsch, cordially invites everyone interested to take part in the discussions and submit their questions.
Shaping a shared future
Overall, it shows that Radibor is on a promising path to meet the existing need for living space and thus also increase the quality of life of its citizens. The new parliamentary initiative not only focuses on the creation of living space, but also on needs-based infrastructure development. It will be exciting to see how the community's plans for the coming years take shape.
