S107 between Dreikretscham and Schwarzadler: full closure from July!
Something is happening on the streets in Saxony! The road renewal of the S107 between Dreikretscham and Schwarzadler is just around the corner. As the Radibor Municipality reported, construction work will begin on July 9, 2025 and is expected to be completed at the end of July. The measure includes the renewal of the asphalt binder and surface layer as well as a thorough repair of the shoulder areas. We can look forward to a more beautiful and safer road!
In addition, the S107 will be renovated in three sections. The first section, from Loga to Dreikretscham, takes place from July 9th to 18th. The second section covers the route from Milkwitz to Loga and takes place from July 14th to 18th. Finally, work will take place in the third section between Schwarzadler and Milkwitz from July 16 to 25, 2025. During this time, the S107 is completely closed in the respective areas, which requires some diversions. Road users are asked to prepare for this by following traffic via the B96, S106 and S100 back to the S107.
Further construction projects in the region
There is also a lot of work being done near Rochlitz. Work on the B107 begins on Monday, March 30th. Here, the area between the Muldental Bridge and Leipziger Straße will be renovated in five sections over a distance of around 1.3 kilometers. The building materials such as the asphalt binder and surface layer as well as defective road curbs are also on the list of renovations. The Saxony State Directorate informed that the diversion leads from the B107 towards Wiederau via the S240 to Göritzhain and on to the B175. Here too, we politely ask for your understanding of the temporary restrictions. The total cost is around 770,000 euros, financed by the Federal Republic of Germany, and the work is scheduled to be completed in mid-August.
These projects are part of a larger initiative supported by the Federal Transport Infrastructure Plan (BVWP) 2030. According to the information from BVWP projects This plan is based on around 2,000 proposals for new systems and expansions in road, rail and waterway transport. The BVWP evaluates projects in terms of their importance for future traffic and ensures that the necessary information is available to ensure sustainable development of the infrastructure.
While road work in Saxony is progressing well, it remains to be seen how the diversions will affect traffic. It is important that everyone drives carefully and observes the changed routes. In this way, we help to complete the construction work quickly and safely.
