On September 30, 2025, everything revolves around domestic culture and the fascinating world of dialectal names in Wörth. A special highlight this autumn is the event "Oudorf, Daffadohl, Wiad - Woasst as? Admission is free and as a speaker Dr. Wolfgang Janka from the Bavarian Academy of Sciences. He will present the results of an exciting project that will deal with the documentation of historical place of names. This is part of a greater project to record oral place names, which is supported by the Commission for Bavarian State History.
But that's just the start! On Saturday, October 18, 2025, the Kerscher musicians invite you to the traditional Kirta dance in the Gasthof Butz. From 7:30 p.m. the dance floor will be brought to life here, while the guests can provide an unforgettable night in a mixture of Bavarian brass music, hits, swing and rock/pop. The diverse program continues with the concert of the KIW Schlossensemble under the direction of Svenja Kruse on Saturday, October 25, 2025, in the Bürgewaße 7. Here, music lovers can look forward to a journey through various music genres, which includes both classic and modern pieces. The tickets cost 16 euros in advance and 18 euros at the box office - a musical discovery tour that should not be missed!
The picture book cinema also has a special surprise in the citizens' hall on Sunday, October 26, 2025: Andrea von Lieven and Tania Schnagl will captivate the audience from 4:00 p.m. with a lively reading and an exciting figure theater. And the best thing about it? Admission is free, but donations are welcome!

A participation fee of 10 euros is pending, a maximum of 15 participants can take part in this sonorous event.
These events fit perfectly into a larger project that has been running on behalf of the Bavarian State Ministry of Finance and Home since 2021. The aim is to record the dialect place names in Bavaria that have not yet been documented, which is not only important in Wörth, but is also at the top of the agenda nationwide. This is done by the Association for Local and Fall Name Research in Bavaria. V. supports whose activities aim to promote and preserve the knowledge of our cultural and linguistic roots. A digital map is part of this initiative and will soon be available to interested citizens.
summarized: In autumn 2025, Wörth offers a varied program for young and old, ideal to celebrate, learn and revive the culture. Mark the data in the calendar - it's worth it!
