Chemnitz is buzzing with activity! The coming weeks will be dedicated to MINT education, an area that is constantly gaining in importance and is particularly valuable for children and young people. The partners in this important project include the Chemnitz University of Technology, Don Bosco Sachsen and the KINDERVEREINIGUNG Chemnitz e.V., who are working together to provide low-threshold offers to improve educational opportunities.

Creativity and networking in the MINT area

The MINT-FIT camp aims to immerse oneself in a playful way in the world of MINT subjects, which is essential for the development of young talents. Education in the MINT area is becoming increasingly important, not only for individual development, but also for Germany's economic future. Early childhood access to mathematics, computer science, natural sciences and technology is promoted through projects such as the House of Little Researchers, which aims to stimulate children's fun and curiosity about these topics. Here they can experiment, research and discover – a great adventure for young researchers is made possible kinder-mint-bildung.de shows.

Parents can support their children's STEM experiences by showing interest and breaking down prejudices. Doing experiments together at home or playing with STEM toys can also help foster enthusiasm for science and technology. A construction set, a robot or chemistry experiments provide lots of fun and learning at the same time!

The city of Chemnitz has set out to develop MINT education into a location factor that both improves the opportunities for the children living here and counteracts the shortage of skilled workers. It will be exciting to see how these initiatives will develop further!

Incidentally, Mayor Sven Schulze will be on vacation from June 30th to July 13th. However, changes due to current circumstances are reserved.
