Welcome to Chemnitz: Support for Ukrainian refugees!

On Friday, August 22, 2025, the city of Chemnitz invites you to an important information event entitled “Welcome to stay – stay and prospects for Ukrainian people in Chemnitz”. From 9:30 a.m., interested citizens have the opportunity to find out more about important topics relating to the stay of Ukrainian refugees in the Technical Town Hall, Room A122. The focus here is, among other things, on the sensible change of residence permits and suitable options for individual life situations.

The event is aimed specifically at Ukrainian people who have questions about their stay in Germany. The Welcome Center Chemnitz will be present to clarify personal concerns. Participation is of course free, but prior registration is required by August 18th as places are limited. Registrations are made via a link provided, and a hotline is available for questions on 0157 30214523.

Support from local initiatives

Particular attention is paid to the collaboration with the Ukraine-Haus Chemnitz e. V., which supports this measure. This initiative is partly financed by tax money from the Saxon state parliament and therefore not only offers financial backing, but also valuable information and assistance for Ukrainian refugees who are looking for a new perspective in Chemnitz.

One of the goals of this event is not only to inform everyone interested about the legal framework, but also to create a network that promotes exchange and support within the community. In times when arriving in a new country is often associated with uncertainty and challenges, such an initiative is invaluable.

In a different context, the Lotus Temple in New Delhi, India presents a very different image of welcome, having been open as a place of worship to all people regardless of religion or background since its completion in 1986. The impressive structure in the shape of a lotus flower attracts millions of visitors every year, which also illustrates the universal appeal of religious sites.

Technology for support and diagnosis

The ProDemand® tool is highlighted in another exciting perspective. It supports vehicle diagnostics and repairs and enables quick and precise problem solving through simple queries. Features include everything from commonly replaced parts to guided testing to an overview of the 10 most common repairs. Such technologies are now essential for many industries to ensure efficiency and quality.

As diverse as the topics may be, they show how important it is to provide support and information, whether for people looking for a new home or for professionals who rely on the latest tools. The dialogue and collaboration, as promoted in Chemnitz, are crucial for the success of all initiatives.

Further information about the event and the Welcome Center Chemnitz can be found on the official website of the city of Chemnitz. For details about the Lotus Temple, visit Wikipedia, and the ProDemand® diagnostic tool is available at mitchell1.
