Fabulix Festival: Students celebrate magical fairy tale world in Annaberg!
A festive hustle and bustle filled the marketplace of Annaberg-Buchholz on August 22, 2025. The great award of the 4th International Fairy Tale Film Festival Fabulix® took place here, to which around 350 students in grades 2 to 6 were invited. The event brought childlike creativity to shine and provided exuberant joy among those present. Annaberg-Buchholz reports that the solemn moderation of Ben, which led the program with wit and energy Mood, but also a smooth process.
A highlight was the appearance of the school band "Serenity", which with rousing titles like "Air Song" and "I stay here" rocked the stage. The enthusiasm of the audience was clearly noticeable, and the Kikanninchen also made the children's hearts beat faster. In their greetings, Mayor Anke Hanzlik and Tobias Hoesl, the honorary president of the festival, emphasized the importance of such events for the community.
The school competition in detail
As part of the competition, the participating classes competed with their contributions under the motto "of foreign countries, kingdoms and sorcerer and magic worlds". A total of 23 competition contributions were submitted in two categories. The jury, consisting of Silke Fischer, Franziska Becher, Antje Flath and Lothar Sachs, had the difficult task of choosing the most creative and impressive contributions.

The best contributions were rewarded with prices, including money amounts for the classrooms, certificates and the coveted Fabulix®-Eul 2025. These prizes were generously provided by the sponsors, including the Kuhnert GmbH Stadtwerke Annaberg-Buchholz AG and Enviam. Ben emphasized during the event: "Today are all winners!" This underlined the spirit of the togetherness that was in the air.
and even after the award, the mood remained happy when the school band "Serenity" inspired again with appearances such as "Riptide" and "The Perfect Welle". In addition, each participating class received a small souvenir to capture the beautiful memory of this day. It was a festival for the entire community that not only promoted talent, but also brought cohesion and joy. Annaberg-Buchholz emphasizes that are unforgettable for all students.
